What We Collect

When you use Horoscope Boutique, we collect the following information:

  • Email address (required for account creation and delivery)
  • Birth date (required for horoscope generation)
  • Birth time (optional, used for rising sign and natal chart calculations)
  • Birth location (optional, used for precise chart calculations)
  • First name (optional, used for personalized greetings)
  • Phone number (optional, if you opt into SMS delivery)
  • Timezone preference (for delivery scheduling)
  • Payment information (processed by Square; we do not store card numbers)

How We Use Your Data

Your personal data is used to: - Generate and deliver personalized horoscope readings - Calculate natal chart positions using astronomical algorithms - Process subscription payments through Square - Send account-related communications (magic link login, subscription confirmations) - Maintain rate limits and prevent abuse

Data Storage

Your data is stored in Cloudflare D1, a serverless SQL database. The application runs as a Cloudflare Worker. Data is stored in Cloudflare's global network and is subject to Cloudflare's infrastructure security practices.

Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes. Data is shared only with: - Square (payment processing) - third-party email service (email delivery) - VoIP.ms (SMS delivery, if you opt in) - Cloudflare (infrastructure provider)

These providers process data only as necessary to perform their services.

Cookies

We use a single session cookie (hb_session) for authentication. It is HttpOnly, Secure, and SameSite=Lax. We do not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or third-party analytics cookies.

Analytics

We collect basic, anonymous usage metrics through Cloudflare Analytics (page views, country-level geography). We do not use Google Analytics or any tracking pixel.

Data Retention

Horoscope content is retained for 30 days. Session data expires after 30 days. Rate limit records are cleaned up daily. Account data is retained as long as your account is active.

Account Deletion

You may delete your account at any time from your account settings. Account deletion permanently removes your personal data, horoscope history, and subscription records from our database. Payment history is retained by Square per their data retention policies.

Data Access

You may request a copy of your personal data by contacting support@horoscope.boutique. We will respond within 30 days.

Children's Privacy

The Service is not intended for users under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

Changes to This Policy

We will notify registered users via email of material changes to this privacy policy.
